Which pain medications are we talking about?

The pain medications we are talking about are those that contain medicines called opioids.

The opioid pain medicines below are available in New Zealand in either prescription or over-the-counter medications. We are interested in talking to people who have been taking one or more of these medications and who think they may have developed an addiction problem with them.
